Born into a new millennium
1977
Infrarent arose from the company HMS Machines (our sales company). On October 1, 1977 HMS Machines was founded by Metzen van der Sluis. With all the risks that were attached to that time, he invested his hard-earned savings in a machine (see photo above). And with success, he managed to get in business (out of a garage). His son, Rick van der Sluis, now current director of HMS Machines and Infrarent, joined the company after he graduated in HTS Mechanical Engineering.
The three "Sluisen"
In 1995 Metze’s other son, Tom van der Sluis, also joined the company. With the three “Sluisen” HMS Machines grew into a successful and healty business. Gradually the customers often asked machines and equipment for rental. Rick van der Sluis foresaw this need and saw the new millennium as a green light for setting up a rental company; Infrarent. And so, Infarent was founded in the year 2000.
Rental fleet
Buying a machine remains often a great investment for many companies. With the rise of Infarent smaller companies were also able to access and operate in the field of the underground infrastructure. Infrarent was the first in the Netherlands who had a complete rental fleet available for this market. Furthermore, Infrarent started with 33 years of experience and knowledge in the underground cable infrastructure technology.
